Don't miss this educational opportunity. We need to remember as parents - what we do and say really matters! Come and learn more on Wed. 24th at the SCC 7:30-9.

DS students in grades 7-12 were able to hear a mesmerizing story of alcohol and drug addiction from former Celtic Chris Herren. SPAN-DS, Dover and Sherborn Boards of Health and the student organization Raider Way, along with countless parents and school administrators came together in more ways than ever to present the student body with this amazing speaker.

Having sat where they sat - in school assemblies listening to people speak about addiction, Chris Herren blew them off. It seems that students at DS did anything but ignore his message, with most students saying that this was one of the very best presentations they have ever attended.

Feel free to leave comments on what you might have heard your student say about this presentation.

On Tuesday, September 6, Glenn Koocher with the Massachusetts Association of School Committees presented the Community Partner Award to SPAN-DS. Congratulations to so many members of the community, school administration, law enforcement, Boards of Health and parents who have worked so hard to enable SPAN-DS to receive this recognition!

Parents of Seniors: Please remember to attend the panel presentation on March 29!

The CTC at the Sherborn Community Center on Wednesday was energizing! Yes, we face a lot of challenges, but if we can come together as a community, even in small groups, we can create a safe culture for our kids. Certainly, we cannot "go it alone". Thanks to all who attended!

Please join us for one of the two "Conversations That Count" as we look closely at what the numbers really mean. We will be directed through the survey by members of the DSMS and DSHS Health Teams. More info is posted under the Conversations That Count tab.
