Local Man Tells His Story of Abuse
Jamie Binnall is coming to DSHS on 3/28 to speak to 11th and 12th grades. Jamie Binnall, a 1994 Belmont Hill graduate, will share his story about how drunk driving resulted in the death of his best friend and a 4 year prison sentence in a maximum security prison in Pennsylvania.

SPAN-DS invites all of you, parents/guardians of current eighth graders, to attend our next (CTC) “Conversations that Count” on January 17th, at 7:30 pm at The Sherborn Community Center. This evening will be dedicated to these issues and to this age group. We are inviting all parents/guardians of current Grade 8 students.

SPAN-DS receives Community Partner Award
On Tuesday, September 6, Glenn Koocher with the Massachusetts Association of School Committees presented the Community Partner Award to SPAN-DS. Congratulations to so many members of the community, school administration, law enforcement, Boards of Health and parents who have worked so hard to enable SPAN-DS to receive this recognition!

Basketball Legend Chris Herren speaks at DS
Former Celtics Player, Chris Herren rocked the Dover Sherborn High School and Middle School on Monday, September 24th. He is the co-author of the book, "Basketball Junkie" and was featured in the ESPN film, "UnGuarded". Chris is also the founder of the basketball player development program, "Hoop Dreams".
Chris is a motivational speaker who brings many lessons to young people about his struggles with addiction to drugs and alcohol. He rose from being a high school basketball star at Durfee High School in Fall River, to Boston College, to Fresno State, to The Denver Nuggets and finally to The Boston Celtics. He shares the struggles of his life in the spotlight and many years of substance abuse.
Chris is determined to help all young people capture their dreams on and off the court.
